Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters

Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) is a home visiting program for parents of children from three to five years of age that supports the development of school readiness skills by teaching parents new ideas for promoting fun, educational activities through play.

By participating in the HIPPY program, families can also identify any developmental delays early on and receive information to help select the correct treatment services. In addition to the educational opportunities, HIPPY participants enjoy becoming part of a network of parents with children of the same ages.

There are currently four cities where parents can participate in HIPPY. They are Central Falls, Cranston, Johnston, and Pawtucket.
